Hyeong Jun Kim*, Baohong Chen, Zhigang Suo*, and Ryan C. Hayward* have published a paper entitled "Ionoelastomer Junctions Between Polymer Networks of Fixed Anions and Cations" in Science.
Liquid-free, stretchable and soft ionic devices are demonstrated using ionoelastomers. The junction of the two ionoelastomers of opposite polarity yields an ionic double layer, enabling highly deformable ionic devices such as diodes, transistors, and electro-mechanical transducers.
