Al Crosby Leads a Group to Study Cavitation Damage in Soft Tissues and Gels

By means of a new, four-year, $2.6 million grant from the Office of Naval Research,​ a team of researchers led by Al Crosby have formed “CAVITATE.” This group aims to study cavitation, the sudden expansion of bubbles in a material and includes researchers Shelly Peyton, Hwang Lee, Greg Tew, Rob Riggleman and Shengqiang Cai as part of the UMass Amherst’s Center for Evolutionary Materials.
