Assistant Professor
Polymer Science & Engineering Department

The Polymer Science and Engineering Department at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor-level, tenure-track position in the broad field of molecular and biomolecular materials to start September 1, 2024, or on a mutually agreed date thereafter. The successful candidate is expected to contribute significantly to the Department’s collaborative research, teaching, and service, where excellence is sought in all respects. We seek candidates who have skills and creative ideas in any current or future area of polymer science and engineering. We welcome candidates from all areas of expertise including experiment, computation and theory. Formal training in polymer science is not a prerequisite.
 
Qualifications:
Applicants are expected to have earned a Ph.D. degree in science, engineering, or a related discipline. The department is keenly interested in diversifying its faculty and encourages applications from historically underrepresented groups in higher education.
