The National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI) has awarded PSE Adjunct Professor and PhD Alum ('74) Ashok Misra a NASI Platinum Jubilee Chair Distinguished Professorship.  Professor Misra has joined the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and is associated with their Interdisciplinary Centre for Energy Research (ICER). This Chair is one of two given by NASI at any given time and the tenure of the award is a maximum of 5 years. NASI instituted the Chair in order to utilize the expertise of active scientists who have made outstanding research contributions to any branch of Science & Technology represented in the Academy.
