HIP Materials Lab: Harnessing Interfacial Phenomena to Design New Soft Materials
The HIP Materials Lab aims to harness interfacial phenomena for the synthesis and assembly of functional soft materials. We exploit dynamics during materials processing to control structure—function properties. Our materials span thin films and coatings to colloidal particles. The outlook of our research is to establish design rules for bottom-up processing of soft composites that meet design requirements in energy storage, sensing, controlled release, and shape-morphing technologies.
