Undergraduate Independent Research Projects

Each year, undergraduates from UMass and throughout the Five Colleges work on research projects within MRSEC-supported laboratories as independent studies for course credit, as their Capstone Experiences for Commonwealth College, or as paid internships.  Reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of MRSEC research, students from many backgrounds including Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Biology, and Mechanical Engineering have participated.

If you are a Five College student interested in working with a MRSEC research group, you may directly contact any of the faculty listed below to ask about openings. If you would like assistance identifying an opportunity in a research group, please contact Jennifer Green, Education and Outreach Manager ( jgreen@mail.pse.umass.edu ).  Please include a CV and a brief description of your background and interests.
