With the sponsorship of the National Science Foundation's Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program the MRSEC on Polymers at the University of Massachusetts Amherst offers, to qualifying undergraduates interested in obtaining research experience in polymer science and engineering, the opportunity to join a faculty-supervised research laboratory in the UMass MRSEC for a ten-week period during the summer. The stipend for this program is $4,000 inclusive. On campus housing is provided. In addition to their research responsibilities, REU participants will attend regular weekly meetings and special seminars throughout the summer. Tentative dates for the 2013 Program are May 28th - August 2nd. Students on the quarter system are encouraged to apply. If accepted, dates will be modified to accomodate their academic schedule.
