Research Interests:
1-D self-assembly, crystal chemistry, synthesis of organic/polymer semiconductor electronic materials, organic/polymer nanocrystals/nanowires, soft lithography/microfluidics, structure-property studies, semiconductor device physics including organic field-effect transistors, integrated circuits, photovoltaic devices, bioorganic electronics, and new device technologies.

Current Research:
Our polymer research group focuses on balancing interests not only in technological applications, but also into answering fundamental questions that hone in on specific disciplines. Our researchers encompass a broad-range of scientific backgrounds including those of biology, chemistry, physics, materials science, and electrical engineering. The goal of our interdisciplinary team is to nucleate new and exciting research in the following Areas:

• Organic and Polymer Semiconductor Single Crystals
• Polymer Semiconductor Devices (e.g., Transistors, Sensors, Photovoltaics, etc.)
• Structure-Property Relationships, Fundamental Knowledge in Polymer Semiconductors
• Synthesis of Novel Organic and Polymer Semiconductors
• Polymer/Biomedical Sensors, Microfluidics
